In a week from tomorrow I will be with one of the greatest, most important people in my life. I absolutely cannot wait. It’ll be nice to be able to run away from Boston for a while. I was at the drug store this morning picking up some stuff and I bought some travel sizes and she asked me if I was going someplace warm and I laughed and said ‘no, Illinois.’ She looked at me like I had two heads. Illinois CAN be warm in June, last time I was there was March and it was WARM. It reached up to 70 degrees! In MARCH, I know, I think I bring the warm weather! It’s tornado season and I’m going to try and convince Ajemi to go storm chasing with me if there’s one around. I’d die of excitement.
Yesterday I went to my friends new apartment and I was shocked by how amazing it was. She downplayed it entirely so when I walked through the front door, my jaw dropped. All new appliances in the kitchen, brand new painted walls, brand new carpeting, windows everywhere. It was so nice, and they got it super cheap. I’m so jealous, I can’t wait to move out, but right now, my plan is to stay home for as long as I can because I know my parents will never charge me rent and that way I can build up my funds.
I went movie CRAZY yesterday at Blockbuster. They didn’t have two movies that I actually wanted on the Previously Viewed yet so to make up for it, I bought 5 or 6 movies. Zodiac, Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix, Into the Wild, Across The Universe, Pirates 3, 1408, Sleepy Hollow and the day before that I bought Under the Tuscan Sun and Rain Man at Target. I love movies. I’m patiently waiting for Juno, and August Rush to go to Previously Viewed but no luck yet. I’m impatient.
Everyone needs to read Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer. They are unbelievable and so addicting. I read all three books in about 2 days, and they’re not small books. They are each around 600 pages each. I love vampire stories and I have such a crush on Edward Cullen. The movie for Twilight comes out in December and I’m DYING to see it now. They just finished filming the movie in the beginning of May.
The Red Sox need to step up their away games. They don’t seem to have a problem winning at Fenway but when they travel, they seem to lose and I don’t know WHY. Defense and Offense haven’t changed. I try not to let it bother me but it consumes me.

This weekend has been a blur of goodness and it’s not even over yet! Yesterday my cousin drove up from NJ and it’s so exciting because I haven’t seen him since his wedding in 2004. Yesterday my mom and I went and got our hair done at my aunt’s shop, I’m a dark brunette once again! After that we went to my aunt’s house and had some wine and crackers. Then after that we went shoe shopping! My mom bought me the cutest pair of heels that I will probably only ever wear once. But it’s all good, they’re still adorable! My aunt and uncle from NJ are coming over this afternoon to have a little mini cookout and then tomorrow is the big day! We invited people that we knew wouldn’t come and they RSVPed saying that they would so we’re hoping we don’t run out of food. As long as you bring me a present, preferably money, COME!
I don’t know if I posted this previously, but I saw Narnia last Sunday. You can read my review over at Six-String.Org, and if there’s a movie you want to review, please fill out the contact form and send it in! I’m hoping that the site will pick up because it’s nice to get opinions before you buy something. And it helps me keep up my New Years Resolution!
So there’s a lot of personal crap going on in my life right now that is stressing me out. I don’t want to get into it here but I wish that everything would just work itself out so I don’t have to be stressed. I want everything to just fix itself magically and for me and my friends to be happy. Is that so much to ask? The only thing I’m going to say is karma. I’m talking to two people specifically.
I was looking at LuLu and found a book that looked interesting, so I bought it. Dugout Wisdom: Life Lessons From Baseball is the name of the book. I love baseball so I can’t wait to read it! I need to start reading all the books that I have now that I’m done with school! I need to start reading Twilight but I have a feeling that once I get into it I’m not going to want to put it down, and since I’m the guest of honor, I probably shouldn’t hide away in my room with my nose stuck between a book. Although that would be a perfect day.
I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!

So the week is over and college is a distant memory for me right now. Actually not really because graduation ceremony isn’t until the 31st and my party is the 25th. But the acutal work part of college is over. I have a part time job this summer working at a theatre company around here that I’ll be starting when I get back from visiting Ajemi. I’ll be working in their marketing department writing press releases and radio ads about their upcoming plays. It’s going to be exciting because I know the artistic director personally and she’s really nice.
Last night at around 10:30pm, my friend called me and asked if I wanted to go out to a bar and I said sure. I woke up this morning realizing that I should have said no, no matter how much fun it actually was. I’m still sore from Thursday and now I’m super tired. Speaking of Thursday, I started playing Ultimate Frisbee with one of my friends and all of his friends. I forgot how much I loved that game.
I’ve discovered the wonder that is Radiohead. They’re not new to me, but I’ve never given an entire album a full listen. I did this weekend and went out and got all of their albums. They’re awesome! Speaking of discovering…I rediscovered my love for Robert Downey Jr. when I saw Iron Man on Wednesday. Fucking UNBELIEVABLE. You guys like it? I might be taking my cousin to see the new Narnia movie if he doesn’t have a makeup baseball game this afternoon.
Now that I don’t have college occupying all of my free time, I’m going to change this site around. I’m going to redesign the one page I have and try to add a plugin rating for the movies I’ve seen. Six-String provides in-depth reviews and possible spoilers and I don’t want to do that here. I want a simple plugin that gives me star ratings. Does anyone know of any good ones?
That’s all…I should go be, productive…or maybe just lazy.
And I just realized that my comments page looks all wonky. I don’t feel like trying to figure out the problem right now because…I’m lazy.
